After receiving proposals, Bac Ninh province authorities has also send a report to the Ministry of Planning and Investment for approval of the project.
The Phat Tich golf course project is expected to be built on land of 96 ha, with a total capital investment of 600 billion VND. Investors expected, after the completion of the annual turnover of this golf course will reach 250-300 billion VND, contributed to the State budget annually of around 50-60 billion VND.
Earlier, in 2008 Bac Ninh People’s Committee had written document of No 664/PPC-XDCB enable AIC to survey some locations in communes of Lien Bao, Hien Van, Việt Đoàn, Phật Tích, Cảnh Hưng, Tri Phương, Minh Đạo in Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province to set up project plans to build Phat Tich golf course, with an area of about 1,500 hectares, including 18-hole golf course project.
The tentative planning Phat Tich golf course adjacent to Phat Tich ecotourism, Dai Dong-Hoan Son industrial zones, Tien Son industrial zone and VSIP industrial parks – urban-services.
In early of this year, Bac Ninh People’s Committee has just submitted a proposal to the government to add 36-hole Hap Linh golf course into the Golf Course Development Plan of Vietnam to 2020.
The golf course will be combined with a residential area for foreigners. Located in Tien Du district, Hap Linh commune, the 200 hectare project would need more than $100 million.
To date, Vietnam has 87 golf course projects in 34 provinces and cities. More than half of them are developed by foreign developers. At present, 29 golf courses are operational, 22 are under construction, 13 golf courses gained investment certificate but still in the paper and the remaining 23 golf courses are approved in principle.
